What is the Best Build for Well Rounded in Brotato?

Well Rounded starts with 3 simple bonuses: +5 Max HP, +5% Speed, and +8 Harvesting. Even though this character can take you in any direction you’d like, I believe the best way is to go with ranged weapons.

During many matches I’ve played I realized that playing ranged builds always felt better and more comfortable than playing melee ones. Not to put one before the other, but it seems to me that ranged strategies leave players with a much more relaxed position, because you can clearly see how many enemies are endangering you and at what pace. When playing with melee weapons, you can get that false sense of safety where in one moment you feel like everything is fine and the next you’re gone.

The build we present in this article can be used for Danger Level 5.

Best Weapons for Well Rounded

When it comes to the weapon(s) of choice for this all-around spud I suggest 5 SMGs and 1 Shredder. Don’t stress out about the Shredder too much in the early game, you will need it after wave 8, or 9 for crowd control mostly.

Stacking up Gun class (and all weapons you have are in it) will give you plenty of range and put you in that comfortable position where you can kill aliens offscreen. If you don’t care too much about that, you can “trade” the range for some other stats with items from the shop.

Getting 5 SMGs will let you pierce enough to kill almost everyone in the early game. To get the real crowd control damage in the mid to late game you will need both additional piercing items and/or Shredder. Since we can’t count on getting the items we need from the shop, getting a Shredder is a sort of safeguard for you.

Best Stats For Well Rounded

The main stats you should go for when playing Well Rounded are:

  • Attack Speed
  • Ranged Damage
  • Lifesteal
  • Crit Chance
  • Damage %
  • Luck
  • Harvesting
  • Speed / Armor / Max HP

Attack speed will just let you lash out a barrage of shots at the alien gang. Pair it up with Lifesteal and Crit Chance to increase the maximum damage output and secure yourself some survivability. Ranged Damage is much better than picking up Damage % here so I always go for that.

Luck will boost your chances of getting those weapons to the max level as soon as possible as well as some early access to Tier IV items. Harvesting will help you buy those great items and weapons that Luck puts before you since as a ranged fighter you won’t always be in a position to pick up all the materials.

Speed, Armor, and Max HP are stats that every character in the game needs to simply survive the elite waves and bosses. I leave that part to your discretion since you’ll obviously have your own playstyle, but you should never forget that getting extra Max HP and Armor/Dodge is vital for winning every run even at Danger Level 1.

Best Items for Well Rounded

When it comes to items for Well Rounded the first thing you want to look at is the piercing boosters – Bandana, Sharp Bullet, and Pumpkin. These will increase your capabilities of clearing the masses of aliens and allow you to have much more breathing space. Even after getting one of these items, you are bound to notice the big difference in gameplay.

When you buff up the piercing abilities of your spud, you want to turn your head towards items that give you range such as Glasses, Night Goggles, Baby Gecko, and Scope.

Baby with a Beard is a must-have if you can get it in the shop as it is a passive item that scales well with your ranged damage. Even with the -50 range it takes, it’s always gonna be worth buying.

If you boost your Luck to a great extent, then Cyberball and Baby Elephant are additional items you’ll want to pick up every time you get the chance (don’t be afraid to stack them) as they will give you a passive DPS that will work for you without you noticing.

All in all, when choosing items you should pursue to increase the stats named in the previous subheading.
