Baruuk is a peaceful monk in Warframe which depicts your usual action-movie hero. He doesn’t want much trouble, but when trouble finds him he can surely pack a punch. For us, this warrior that is built around dodging, suppressing, and preventing incoming damage is an interesting and unique character not often seen in action games. Baruuk needs the enemies to attack him because this avoided damage is then turned into power that he unleashes on his enemies. In this article, we will explore how to best manage Baruuk and his skills in order to dominate the battlefield.
Builds for Baruuk
In Warframe, Baruuk has four abilities of which the first three are mainly defensive. Elude gives him the ability to dodge incoming projectiles, Lull allows him to slow down enemies and puts them to sleep, and with Desolate Hands, Baruuk sends out orbiting daggers to disarm enemies and lower their damage output. His passive ability called Restraint erodes with time while using all of these spells and once fully eroded it allows Baruuk to use the fourth ability, Serene Storm. Serene Storm brings the Desert Wind melee weapons that make Baruuk able to lash out at enemies and deal massive damage.

Desert Wind Build
When using Desert Wind on its own you will already deal huge melee damage to your enemies but these attacks can be improved further.
With the help of Collision Force mod which increases the Impact damage of melee weapons by 20% per rank and True Steel which increases critical chance by 20% per rank, you will have a pretty solid damage output. Berserker Fury can further improve the melee weapon attack speed after you kill some enemies so using these three mods together will make you into a serious killing machine.
Sacrificial Steel, the Umbra variant of True Steel, can increase your critical chance and damage even further, so have that always in mind when building up your mods.
Helminth Build
The Helminth build revolves around a helmet ability called Nourish. The ability gives your weapons the ability to deal Viral damage and turns your return damage into Viral splash damage. You should also pick the Reactive Storm mod to increase the Desert Wind status chance by 250% when you activate Serene Storm. It also changes the damage type you deal to your enemies to match their weaknesses, so it’s really a must-have in your arsenal.
Fleeting Expertise and Streamline are great for improving ability efficiency and Umbral Intensify can go on top of it for an extra 44% of Ability Strength.
