As you probably can tell by now, combat is one of the strongest points of the Atlas Fallen. The combos, dodges, and tactics that you need to use to beat the powerful foes in front of you are kind of the key things in this action RPG.
Having that in mind, getting good armor for your character is also vital since enemies are no joke. This game offers a pretty challenging combat that reminds us of Dark Souls or Ghosts Tsushima so when you get hit by an enemy monster, you don’t want to go down in a couple of hits. What is the Best Armor Set in Atlas Fallen?
When talking about the best armor set in Atlas Fallen we have to say straight away that there isn’t one that we would recommend but actually three. They are Rite of the Mire, Queen’s Cover and Perennial Mantle. Each one has its own advantages and traits and the best one for you would be the one that suits your playstyle.
All three sets that we’ve chosen have a base power level of 8 and can be upgraded to a max power level of 11. Because of their unique and different stats allocation, you might prefer one over the other because of your build and gameplay so we will present all three and leave you up to choose the strongest one for yourself.
Rite of the Mire
Rite of the Mire is a powerful armor set that you can acquire through a side quest called Ancient Armor in The Black Alms area. The 3 set pieces will be found scattered at different locations in the Swamp Ruins and you will need to find them and collect them all before you can count on all the benefits of this set.
Once in Swamp Ruins, the Tribal Trousers can be found east of the Anvil in a warded chest that is guarded by a Wraith. The Tribal Chest Piece will be tucked away south of the Anvil in a raisable chest that will be protected by a Scatterer, while the Tribal Helmet can be found in a chest southwest of the Anvil.
When you have all the pieces, you need to go to the Knight’s Camp in Black Alms and visit the Smith. The armor’s base stats are as follows:
- Recovery: 40
- Offense: 73
- Defense: 39
- Fortune: 61
- Shatter: 45
The unique armor trait of this set is increasing the damage you deal to slowed and crystallized enemies.
Queen’s Cover
Queen’s Cover is easily acquirable at the vendor in Knight’s Camp in the Black Alms. You will need 2500 Tributes to buy it. Its base stats are:
- Recovery: 70
- Offense: 48
- Defense: 46
- Fortune: 52
- Shatter: 49
This armor set has a unique trait that gives your weapon a chance to create a small crease when it hits, healing you and your allies for 5 seconds. The armor also gets bonus +9/12/15/19 stats for Fortune when you have 3 Momentum Essence Stones equipped in your Gauntlet and a bonus of +5/7/9/11 to Offense and Defense when equipping 2 Healing Essence Stones in the Gauntlet.
Perennial Mantle
The Perennial Mantle armor set is received from the Odd Hunter, once you complete the main quest called the City of the Sun. The armor stats are as follows:
- Recovery: 47
- Offense: 41
- Defense: 72
- Fortune: 42
- Shatter: 64
As its unique trait, the Perennial Mantle armor has a moderate chance to negate the damage of one enemy attack. For its bonus stats, you can get +8/10/12/15 to Offense with 4 Damage Essence Stones equipped in your Gauntlet and +11/14/18/22 Shatter bonus with 2 Healing Essence Stones equipped in the Gauntlet.
How Can You Upgrade Your Armor in Atlas Fallen?
You can upgrade all armor sets in Atlas Fallen by interacting with Anvils. Anvils will be located all over the map and are almost always found in civilized areas such as towns. Sometimes you will need to raise an Anvil before you can use it.
To raise an Anvil, look for a spot on the ground with a blue mist, approach it, and use the Raise Skill. Once the Anvil is in front of you interact with it to bring up its menu. Among dozens of options, you will see the Armor Upgrade option.
Armor Sets will usually be upgradable a couple of times and to do it you will need to spend plenty of Essence Dust. However, this wouldn’t be too hard since this mineral is a common loot dropped by most of the enemies you fight. You can also get it by destroying Heavenly Shrines and completing smaller Side quests.
