The “server not responding” message is quite common in the game but can be a bit of a hassle. The message usually shows up on the title screen when they launch the game. In this guide, we take a closer look at this error.

How to Fix Fortnite Servers not Responding

At the time of writing this article, Fortnite servers are back up. They have been down for a scheduled v24.00 Update on March 10 from 07:00 UTC till 12:00 UTC, but now they are operational.

The Fortnite matchmaking and some other options such as accessing stats, leaderboards, sending messages, or buying items from the Fortnite Shop were disabled during the downtime.

You can always check the server status on Epic Games’ website. The site shows the server’s health and if there is maintenance in the process. It will keep you updated with the timestamps of the latest problems and fixes in the game.
