Apex Legends Master Tier Coming Soon

Respawn developers released a few teasers for the new upcoming Season Four, which will be called Assimilation. A new champion along with a new weapon is probably the biggest announcement, but we want to focus on the new tier of the ranked ladder in this article.

They will rename the current Apex Predator tier to Master tier. The existing Apex Predator tier will be reserved for the top 500 players per platform. This means Apex Predator ranked players can fall down to Master tier if someone ends up with more Ranked Points than them.

Respawn thinks this will solve the replayability issue the top Apex Legends players complain about. In the current system there is no incentive to keep playing after achieving Apex Predator rank. With the new system, you can lose rank as others rack up more points. Players that want to keep their Apex Predator rank until the end of the season will have to consistently build up their ranked points.

Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation is set to be released on Tuesday February 4th, 2020.
