How to get Jolly Redd

For a quick summary of how to get Jolly Redd to show up, you’ll need to first talk to Blathers. Time Travel a day or two or wait patiently, and you’ll find Redd walking around your town. Talk to him and he will sell you a painting which you will need to give to Blathers. Blathers will then remodel the museum, and you can talk to Redd again at which point he will become your friend.

Whenever you see Jolly Redd’s boat come to shore, you can approach it and talk to Redd. He will purchase one piece of art per day from him. Redd also has unique furniture for sale from time to time. There’s one catch: he will sometimes try and trick you into buying counterfeit art. That’s where our guide will come in handy. Feel free to bookmark this page and reference it to know which paintings and statues are real.
