In its early-access release, PROJECT: PLAYTIME offers players the opportunity to play as the villains themselves. In a 6v1 match of a Playtime Monster against 6 Specialists, halt their movements and knock Specialists down before they complete building their giant toy. Through purchasing Sabotages, master your Monster’s abilities and stop the Specialists at all costs from escaping. Through them into the Feeding Pits and play strategically in your picks. These are the current rankings of every playable PROJECT: PLAYTIME Monster.
PROJECT: PLAYTIME Monster Ranking
3. Boxy Boo
Unlike Huggy Wuggy, Boxy Boo has the ability to grab enemies further away. However, this has a very limited range, it works on enemies you get close too that start running away, but relies on the most skill to execute once the Specialist begins evading you. Boxy Boo takes the longest time to get a Specialist down. This is likely due to his better mobility in contrast to Huggy Wuggy. Taking 5 hits to take down a Specialist is a commitment.
Whilst Boxy Boo has the unique right hand grapple and the ability to camouflage himself in the surroundings, for players used to versing this Monster, executing these moves perfectly prove harder to do. As beginner Specialists playing against Boxy Boo, this Monster will annihilate the stage. However, as soon as players adjust themselves to the gameplay of Boxy Boo, he is the easiest to look out for and evade. Because of this Boxy Boo is the hardest Monster to master in PROJECT: PLAYTIME. This is why he currently sits in rank number 3.
2. Huggy Wuggy
Huggy Wuggy does a lot of damage against the Specialists. Not only this but his unique ability allows for you to send out mini Huggy to alert him on Specialist movements across the two maps available in PROJECT: PLAYTIME. This Playtime Monster must get close to Specialists to get in some serious damage. He only needs to hit a Specialist 3 times to get them down. Whilst, Huggy Wuggy has the most limited movability, his power puts him above Boxy Boo. With the ability to one-shot Specialists with his dash attack. Those just getting started with this Monster or already used to him should abuse this ability to its fullest.
For players who put all their Toy Tickets into Speed Upgrades, Huggy Wuggy is the easiest to evade in both maps. However, for those who chose to focus on Puzzle Upgrades, Huggy Wuggy will punish you with his strength. With the ability to crawl through vents and chase after players, this Playtime Monster will stop at nothing to execute his charge attack.
1. Mommy Long Legs
Since PROJECT: PLAYTIME’s initial release, Mommy Long Legs is the Monster to be. With the best vertical movability in the game, annihilating the likes of Huggy Wuggy’s limited mobility. Mommy Long Legs can climb anything, include that of chilling out on the ceiling waiting for her prey to arrive. She has the brute force of Huggy Wuggy by knocking down Specialists in 3 hits and the invisibility of Boxy Boo, by being able to hide in plain sight through both maps. She is overpowered in the factory with the ability to see through walls temporarily and to slow the movement of the Specialists through the use of webs that can be used regularly on multiple Specialists in a small area.
Mommy Long Legs takes what makes Huggy Wuggy and Boxy Boo strong Monsters and combines them into an unstoppable force. MOB GAMES need to take a serious look at this Playtime Monster’s abilities and re-evaluate. Because as of its early-access release, Mommy Long Legs is by far the hardest Monster to beat in PROJECT: PLAYTIME.
