What Is the Max Level Cap in Diablo Immortal?

There is a level cap, but that's not where things end.

RPGs, by their very nature, are games of numbers. Players, gears, monsters, and even objectives could all, theoretically, be abstracted down to a bunch of assorted numbers. The only difference between the numbers in an RPG and just counting upward, though, is that numbers in an RPG stop eventually. On that subject, what is the max level cap in Diablo Immortal?

What Is the Max Level Cap in Diablo Immortal?

This is a bit of a multilayered question, as while there is a level cap in Diablo Immortal, there also kind of … isn’t? Let me explain.

When you first start the game, you start at Character Level 1. This is your basic level, which you grow by gaining XP received from completing quests and defeating monsters. The Character Level does have a hard cap, ending at Level 60. Sounds kind of low, right? But that’s not actually where things end.

After you hit the Character Level cap, your XP starts automatically converting into points that raise a separate level metric, the Paragon Level. Unlike your Character Level, your Paragon Level doesn’t have a cap, or at least it doesn’t have a clearly defined one.

By raising your Paragon Level, you get access to the Paragon Talent Trees, which unlock additional helpful skills and abilities. At the moment, the highest Paragon Level you need to be to access all of the Talent Trees is 150, but there are more Talent Trees that will be added to the game later down the line, so you can keep leveling up even after you hit 150. Beyond that, the highest difficulty setting, Hell 4, has a max Paragon requirement of 300, and that still isn’t the end of it.

One way you can think of the Character Level cap is as a sort of … entry requirement. The game doesn’t end when you hit Character Level 60. If anything, that’s where Diablo Immortal really begins.
