Lost Ark: What is the Tournament Champion Plate – Where to Sell and Use

Everyone loves receiving a big, shiny trophy.

Everyone loves receiving a big, shiny trophy when they win at something, especially if that trophy is made of actual precious metals and not just painted plastic. Not only does that make it seem more important, but you could also sell it for a quick buck if you needed to. The Tournament Champion’s Plate in Lost Ark is one such shiny trophy.

So, what is the Tournament Champion’s Plate, and more importantly, what do you do with it?

What is the Tournament Champion Plate in Lost Ark

The Tournament Champion’s Plate is a prize awarded to you upon completion of the quest “Prove My Worth.” This quest is located in Port City Changhun in the Anikka continent and requires you to clear every round of their local arena. Upon completion of the quest, the Champion’s Plate will be deposited into your inventory.

Should you Sell Tournament Champion Plate in Lost Ark?

That would be the assumption, given its description describes it as looking “quite valuable.” However, if you look at its page in your inventory, you’ll notice that it doesn’t have a gold bag symbol on it. Normally, when an item’s only purpose is to be sold to a vendor for a quick payday, it would have that icon, which means that’s not the item’s only purpose.

Here’s the confusing part: at the moment, the only thing you can do with the Tournament Champion’s Plate is to sell it. You can bring it to any vendor in the game and trade it in for 30,000 Silver. However, you might want to just hold onto it for a while, as a more constructive purpose for the item may be added to the game later.

In the Korean version of Lost Ark, which is a little further along in its content development than the western version, there’s a character named Blacksmith Luolu in Port City Changhun. If you give him the Tournament Champion’s Plate and some materials, he’ll give you a special level 260 weapon. This NPC doesn’t currently exist in the western version of the game, but if the Tournament Champion’s Plate does, it’s a safe bet that he will be added to the game at some point later on.

So unless you’re extremely hard up for Silver and don’t mind missing out on a nifty weapon, you should probably just hold onto your Tournament Champion’s Plate for a little while. Some spending money comes and goes, but a shiny sword is forever, after all.
