Much like with any FromSoftware game or RPG, players have an opportunity to tailor their builds by using a set of equipment that all house the same name. In the case of Armored Core 6, this is the Pulse Set. Whilst it is not specifically declared this in the game as a Armor Set you can pick up throughout the game, you can find both weapons and parts that use the Pulse feature. This type of Armor is part of the AC Expansions that are used to either increase your attack or defence for a limited amount of time during a fight. For those looking to use or obtain the Pulse Armor, this is Vincent’s guide on everything you need to know regarding the Pulse Armor in Armored Core 6.
How to Get Pulse Armor in Armored Core 6
The Pulse Armor is one of the Expansions in Armored Core which greatly increases your attacking or defensive stats. This Armor specifically increases your defence by emitting a shield around your AC, protecting it from incoming fire. It is a great choice to use for those who do not want to equip Shields on their AC and are looking to use a mech that is all about offensive capabilities with handguns, shotguns and blades rather than missile launchers and assault rifles. The Barrier is in place for a short period of time (10s duration) to protect you from any incoming fire that could take out your remaining bit of health, or provide an impenetrable shield until you reposition in the fight after putting yourself in a tight, compromised spot.
For those looking to get the Pulse Armor, it can be unlocked with x3 OST Chips. You can get OST Chips by completing Arena Missions. You must first complete the story Mission, no.9 so that this Core Expansion can be purchased in the OS Tuning Menu of the Garage. After unlocking this Expansion a further upgrade can be given with another x5 OST Chips.

How to Use Pulse Armor in Missions
After unlocking the Pulse Armor via the Core Expansions Menu, be sure to equip this to your AC. In the Mission, you can use this whenever in battle with the controls: push with Left stick + Traingle (PlayStation)/ Y (Xbox). Remember that this has a limited duration of which the Shield is up of 10s. You should only use this in moments when it is absolutely necessary, such as making a push in the open which would normally leave you wide open to get hit, or in moments where your health is extremely low with no option to replenish it. The Pulse Armor is a game changer for those playing on the attack as it can provide a defence when your build is otherwise an incredibly offensive and deadly attacking force.
