A gigantic game such as Baldur’s Gate 3 is certainly is a completionist nightmare. However, in these sorts of games, especially Baldur’s Gate and Dungeons & Dragons, it is all about the journey. Can You Play Baldur’s Gate 3 Solo?
You can certainly play Baldur’s Gate 3 solo, but the real question is, should you? And the answer remains the same: yes. While playing with friends via online multiplayer co-op, playing solo is completely feasible. Even many Baldur’s Gate veterans recommend it, at least for your first playthrough.
Whether you choose the hardest of difficulties available in Baldur’s Gate 3, the game is certainly not a difficult game to solo. So long as you are really invested in building your character. Not only that, but the richness of the dialogue, the lore, the worldbuilding, and the exploration make this the perfect game to experience while playing alone. There are certain things that a multiplayer run will not let you appreciate. And the story and all the possible dialogue options are one of those things.
While there is no Lone Wolf mechanic currently in Baldur’s Gate 3, soloing the game alongside your NPC’s companions all the way to the end is entirely possible. You might want to focus on melee builds since they are the simplest to master, but it is entirely your choice.
