Fortnite: Madcap Mushroom Master Questline Guide

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is full of Character Punchcard questlines that players can complete if they want to rake in the Battle Pass XP. These are five-step quest chains that involve helping out each character with specific tasks. They are mostly straightforward, but a few of the steps can be a bit confusing. In this guide, we will walk you through how to complete the Madcap Mushroom Master Questline in Fortnite.

Where is Madcap in Fortnite?

You can find Madcap over in the yellow building to the east of Corny Crops. Head into the lower level of the building to find Madcap.

How to complete the Madcap Mushroom Master Questline

1. Speak with Madcap at Corny Crops.
2. Destroy a Farming Tractor.
3. Forage Mushrooms.
4. Craft a weapon.
5. Destroy refrigerators.
6. Consume an apple and a banana.

Destroy a Farming Tractor

After speaking with Madcap, you can head northeast into the big red barn. You should see a farming tractor parked out front. Use your pickaxe to destroy it and knock this objective off the list.

Forage Mushrooms

Next, you’ll need to forage two Mushrooms from anywhere on the map. You can visit many locations to complete this task, but southwest of Sludgy Swamp is a good spot. Head on down there and grab two mushrooms.

Craft a weapon

The next step is to craft any type of weapon. You can visit the new area, The Sideways, and get many crafting materials by eliminating the NPCs. The Sideways location varies from match to match, so open up your map and look for the orange circle. The enemies in this zone tend to drop everything you’ll need to craft stuff. Pick up the Cube Monster Parts, and make a weapon by opening your inventory and going to the crafting tab.

Destroy refrigerators

Next up, it’s time to destroy some refrigerators. You can do this in any location that has residential homes. Anywhere like Pleasant Park or Holly Hedges will do the trick. Enter into the houses and head to the kitchen or garages to pickaxe the refrigerators.

Consume an apple and a banana

Finally, you must consume an apple and a banana. You can find both of these ingredients in the Food Crates at Catty Corner. We have a guide on finding Peppers that you can use for this same process. After you eat the banana and apple, you’re all done with the final objective of the Mushroom Master Questline.
