Where to activate a rift by purchasing it from a character in Fortnite

We’re here in week nine of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, and we have a new set of epic quests to complete. One of them is to activate a rift that we buy off a character. Considering there are now fifty characters in the game, it would help a bit to know exactly which ones sold rifts. Well, we got you covered. Here’s where to activate a rift by purchasing it from a character in Fortnite.

Make sure you have some Gold Bars because it costs 245 to activate a rift from an NPC. The epic quest is from Rex, and rewards 24,000 XP upon completion. “Some of the greatest predators hunt from the sky. Rawr!”

Where to activate a rift by purchasing it from a character in Fortnite

Here are a few characters you can visit to purchase and activate a rift from in Fortnite:

• Cabbie – West of Sweaty Sands.
• Rebirth Raven – Lazy Lake.
• Raz – Colossal Crops.
• Castaway Jonesy – Island north of Steamy Stacks.
• Willow – Weeping Woods.

Land at either of these two spots marked on the map above. Find and speak with the NPCs, and look for the option to “Activate Rift,” which will cost 245 Gold Bars. Activate the rift, and you should be good to go for this challenge. 

We recommend not searching for Castaway Jonesy because he has a few different possible spawn locations, so it’s an unreliable character. Land at the one you get a good drop for and activate the rift before everyone else gets there. Good luck!
