The Research Camp may be a short course, but it’s certainly a fun one to explore. Professor Mirror’s LenTalk research tasks are also pretty challenging to complete in this area. One of the requests comes from Phil, and he says he saw the professor outside, but he heard noises coming from the second floor. Well, it’s time to go check it out! Here’s how to complete The Empty Room and find Meowth’s location in New Pokemon Snap.

  1. Go into the Research Camp on Research Level 1.
  2. Take the alternate route to go inside the research lab.
  3. As soon as you enter, look up to the second floor and toss Fluffruit.
  4. Keep tossing Fluffruit up there, and you should hear some noise.
  5. Wait for Meowth to come and check out the noise.
  6. Snap a photo of Meowth.

Update: Make sure to take the long path to get to the house, otherwise Meowth might not show up for you!

Here’s a fun LenTalk request to complete in the Research Camp. You can start on Research Level 1, and all you need to do is take the alternate route to get inside the lab. So, when you’re coming up on the lab, do a scan, and hit X to go inside. The moment you enter, look up and start throwing Fluffruit up top. Angle it above the ladder, as that’s where Meowth is sleeping.

You should hear some audio keys that sound like meows, which means you’re throwing the Fluffruit in the right spot. Throw three or four up there for safe measure, and Meowth should walk over to the edge. Snap a nice photo of Meowth for the professor, and then show him the photos. You’ll unlock a free frame for the photo editor for completing The Empty Room, and maybe even a sticker for finding the last Pokemon in the Florio region!
