It’s challenge day in Fortnite, which means there are some new quests available in week six of Chapter 2, Season 5. Each week, two new epic rarity quests unlock, and completing them awards you with 20,000 XP. For one of this week’s challenges, you’ll need to blow up some fishing holes. Here’s how to blow up Fishing Holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond in Fortnite.
Make sure to check your quest log because you may have a different variant of this quest. Other players may have the quest to blow up fishing holes at Lazy Lake Island, Lake Canoe, and Steamy Stacks. We have another guide up for that one, so check it out if you need help.
How to Blow Up Fishing Holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond in Fortnite
To blow up fishing holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond, you’ll need some explosives. An easy way to avoid having to find grenades or other explosives is by using a motorboat. You can find a dock with a motorboat just west of Stealthy Stronghold at the Sharky Shell docks.
Refer to the map below for all three locations, including Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond. There’s a boat market on the image showing the location of the boat. The three red markers indicate the three areas where you’ll need to blow up fishing holes. When you get in a boat, you can use your weapon fire button to launch some rockets. Aim them at the fishing holes to destroy them.
The areas where you need to destroy the fishing holes are limited. If you are not getting credit for the challenge, ensure you are in the marked area and then try again.
For the Flopper Pond location, you may want to use an explosive like grenades. Pick up any grenade or explosive, and chuck it into the fishing hole to blow it up. After you do destroy three fishing holes, your challenge is complete.
