How to Fix ‘One Moment Please’ Error in Destiny 2

Don't cut the line!

A new expansion release, a new error to connect. Well, that’s how things are right now. I mean, if you expect a lot of players to connect to your game servers, why not upgrade them in advance? Is it a tradition to just lack what it is necessary to be able to provide a good gaming experience to the players that made you what you are? Oh well, a tantrum won’t get us anywhere. With my emotions aside, here is how to fix the ‘One Moment Please’ error in Destiny 2.

Ok, I’ll wait. Except, I won’t. This error in particular is a unique one that various Destiny 2 players are currently experiencing thanks to the arrival of the new Lightfall expansion. Just for future references, I’m writing this article on February 28th, the exact day of release. You may think this is a normal error, and it relates to some connectivity issues currently undergoing on your side or Bungie’s side. However, that is a little imprecise.

You see, this error is not at all new, and it usually happens when new expansions are released. The thing is that, many players are trying to access the game, and since Bungie can’t handle the stress that this generates to their servers, you will be put in a queue. Think of it like attending a massive concert and only having one door for all 50,000 to enter. You will have to wait for your turn, there is no workaround and there is no cutting the line either. DO NOT log out and back in to your account! That will make things worse, since you will be put on the back of the queue, extending your waiting time. Your best chance is to continue waiting.

Be sure to check out Bungie Help’s Twitter handle for an update on the state of the game and its servers. In the meantime, the best you can do is wait for you to connect to the game and play it. We hope Bungie addresses this issue and provides a quality experience for all players waiting for this Expansion. Good luck on the queue!
