Is Lightfall the last DLC for Destiny 2? A lot of Guardians seem to think so. For the longest time, it was touted as being the final stop in Destiny 2’s roadmap, but has that changed? Bungie has been making massive leaps with Destiny 2 since Beyond Light. So, you shouldn’t be too surprised to hear that plans have indeed shifted.
I’m going to confirm whether or not Lightfall is the last DLC for Destiny 2. I’ll also give you a bit of information regarding what’s next for Destiny after the current story concludes.

Destiny 2 – Is Lightfall the Last DLC?
No, Lightfall is not the last DLC for Destiny 2. Way back in the pre-Witch Queen days, we were under the impression that Lightfall was going to wrap up what is being called the “Light and Darkness Saga.” This saga encapsulates everything from Destiny 1 up to and including both Lightfall and the DLC that arrives after it. Once the saga concludes, we can assume we’ll be moving on to Destiny 3, whatever form that may take (rumor has it that Destiny 2 will be sticking around).
The DLC that is releasing after Lightfall is called The Final Shape, and that will be the last DLC for Destiny 2 that we know of. It’s definitely the last DLC for the Light and Darkness Saga. Bungie intends to continue the Destiny universe after this DLC. They referred to it as a “transformative moment” rather than a conclusion to Destiny during the Witch Queen reveal event.
So, Lightfall isn’t the final DLC – The Final Shape is. That won’t be launching until 2024, so you’ve plenty of time to get prepared for the end.
