Throughout the birthing of one of the most popular Call of Duty Game Modes since Zombies, DMZ has experienced its fair share of glitches that allow players to exploit the game to get ahead of others, Activision have often been on the ball with hotfixing them. Even this article that previously covered a Door Glitch for DMZ Season 2 has long been forgotten but that does not mean that it hasn’t been replaced. Glitches come and go but what you do in that time between is what’s important. As the DMZ Keys remain a tough task to complete due to the random nature of their drops, the hunt for the best loot is one that many Operators are facing daily but with the Secure Backpacks, life get’s a little easier. This is Vincent’s guide on how to unlock locked doors in DMZ Season 5.
How to Unlock Doors Without Keys
What is incredibly important and needs to be stated off the bat is that this glitch does not work for every locked door in the DMZ Game Mode. Rather, it works for a handle of glitch spots and does not resemble that of the previous Door Breach Glitch that many Operators may have used in Season 2 and 3. This time around, these specific glitch spots can be found solely in Al Mazrah (which is weird because that’s where the previous Door Glitch appeared). Regardless, this Door Glitch works off the use of vehicles rather than having to trick the door lock prompt with any locked doors that could be accessed through the edge of the building’s perimeter. You will want to grab yourself different vehicles dependant on the location of Al Mazrah that you are trying to access without a Key. These are:
- Al Mazrah City Police Academy – requires x2 Operators and Cargo Truck
- Al Bagra Fortress – requires Dirt Bike
- Sawah Village

Door Breach Glitch Guide
Before you get started on these glitch spots, be sure to turn Automatic Airborne Mantle ON. This is important for the first glitch in the Al Mazrah City Police Academy. Refer to the guide below for each location of the door glitches on Al Mazrah and how you can easily get inside with no real issue aside from finding the correct vehicle needed to override access to the doors. For this guide, you are actually looking to completely bypass the door itself and utilize grates/bars as a means of getting through tight spaces.
You need to get your hands on one of the Cargo Trucks that are dotted around the Map (refer to Map Overview to find the Cargo Truck icon), and take this to the Police Academy. Find the spot outlined in the screenshot here on the west side of this building. You need to use the Truck and place it against the side of the building. Have your teammate in the Truck whilst you stand on top and push against the bared window. They need to drive backwards as you run forwards which will burst your character through the window and into the Denied Zone.
Next, head to Al Bagra Fortress where you need to get yourself one of the Dirt Bikes that are scarcely scattered around Al Mazrah. Head to the dead centre of this location as indicated on the screenshot. Here you will find a grated platform that appears only accessible via the locked access ladder. Drive the Bike over to the right-side of the ladder, directly next to it. You will be able to completely bypass the lock and drop straight into the water below. Yes, the Bike will end up with being completely wasted but at least you have access to a new area to explore.
Finally, head to Sawah Village where you want the building specified on the screenshot (black circle). Head to the roof until you are looking at the glass roofing that has a hole in it to drop down into. Stay on the roof and go prone. Face the opened window on the south-east side of the roof (looking away from the shipwrecks in Sawah Village). Crawl towards the space between the roof and the glass whilst looking down at the silver bar with bolts on it. You want to crawl towards the right-side edge of these windows until you find the ‘Unlock Deadbolt’ prompt. Hold to unlock which will open the door from the other side, allowing you to drop down and head on into the now unlocked door.
Remember that this does not work for every locked door in DMZ but only the ones listed above. We hope this guide helped you on how and where to access locked doors without DMZ keys. For more DMZ guides, feel free to look at our Call of Duty section here. Thank you for reading.
