How to Beat Dreadbloon in BTD6

A guide to help you approach one of the hardest bosses in the game.

In Bloons Tower Defense 6 there’s a very difficult boss by the name of Dreadbloon. He’s a big, mean, and ugly-looking boss that will destroy any player who doesn’t go into a fight prepared.

Dreadbloon Fight Summary

Dreadbloon has resistance against entire tower categories which requires a diversified strategy to beat it. The big bloon will enter the fight with a layer of ceramic armor and under that ceramic armor is a lead layer that will reduce all attacks by one. Dreadbloon will also spawn Rock Bloons which take attack priority from turrets that have their targeting not set correctly.

Now, this sounds simple but the guy or gal has a lot of rubbery skin with many resistances and effects layered on top of one another. You will need to make sure to have a Bomber and a Tack Zone to constantly DPS the Dreadbloon while your basic monkeys focus on the balloons. Besides the two Bombers and Tack Zones, you can bring in a MOAB Assassin to burn down the boss. Now on top of these, you will need to bring a Benjamin hero tower with you.

Primarily focus on building your Banana Farms and upgrading them into Banks ASAP. You will need to be bringing in a ton of money to make the upgrades you need to the base units and having a Benjamin with you will also speed up this process.

Dreadbloon Tier Differences

Dreadbloon has multiple tiers and what was mentioned prior is a good example of a base for you to bring into every encounter. Of course each difficulty you need to approach the fight differently because the boss has a few changes here and there.

For the first two tiers, you should always build Sticky Bombs and Artillery Batteries. The Sticky Bomb tower will throw strong charges while the Artillery Battery is a weaker DPS but can execute a rapid-fire attack.

For the harder tiers, you want to focus on the highest DPS with solid support like Permanent Brew and Support Chinook. Using these two with the setup we mentioned prior will guarantee success every time!
