What Do You Need for Magus Perfectus in TD Bloons 6?

In order to get yourself a Magus Perfectus in TD Bloons 6 you don’t need much, as the process is pretty straightforward. You need to have one of each Tier 5 Wizard Monkey on the screen to get the offer of upgrading to Magus Perfectus.

Keep in mind that the Wizard Monkey you select will be transformed into Magus Perfectus while the others will simply disappear. If you’re playing in coop mode, the Wizard Monkeys from your friends will also be sacrificed. Like the One Ring, there can only be the One Magus Perfectus in the game.

Magus Perfectus Strategy Tips in TD Bloons 6

Even from the early days of Warcraft 3 and the first TD maps, I’ve always been a big fan of a good Tower Defense experience (I even bought Warcraft 3 Reforged just to be able to play new TDs but don’t tell anyone). And as you know, when you are a hardcore TD player you need a lot of patience. You will be playing the same maps and levels over and over again until you land just the right strategy to progress further.

But sometimes we get overwhelmed with the amount of different opportunities that a game like TD Bloons 6 offers so we want to find some quick advice on how to improve our game. And that’s why we’re here for!

How Does Magus Perfectus Work?

Magus Perfectus is a unique Paragon that has a couple of abilities and a Phoenix helper circling around his head for extra spells. His main feature is that he can toggle on and off from two different modes. The first mode allows Magus Perfectus to shoot a weak laser beam with which he soaks up Graveyard mana that he can then use for stronger abilities. The second mode unleashes a powerful attack from him that deals huge damage to the MOABs and lets Phoenix attack too with radial fireball attacks.

After you have mastered these two modes, you are ready to use Magus Perfectus’ nuke abilities:

  • Phoenix Explosion – As the name says, when you use the first ability your Phoenix will explode instantly consuming all of your Graveyard mana and dealing massive damage. It will additionally summon one Zombie ZOMG for you for each 9000 mana burnt.
  • Arcane Metamorphosis – This ability morphs the Magus Perfectus into a stronger state that gives him the ability to dash out some massive damage as long as the Graveyard mana is allowing it. The more mana you had when you activated the ability the longer it will last.

Magus Perfectus Strategy

Magus Perfectus is a really strong tower so the first thing in your strategy should be the idea that you shouldn’t buy him too early. He costs $637,500 on Easy, $750,000 on Medium, $810,000 on Hard, and $900,000 on Impoppable. As such he is great for late-game and Boss events but terrible with an abundance of single small Bloons.

The core of your strategy will be in balancing when you should toggle each of the two modes of the Magus Perfectus. You want to refrain from draining your whole Graveyard mana pool when medium enemy Bloons are about. But, as soon as you see the motherload is coming, don’t hesitate to splash out all the Graveyard mana as soon as possible. By doing that, you will get to drain mana and use either your whole or partial mana pool again soon.

For example, you don’t need to go all out when you see most of the MOABs but if you see a DDT or stronger Bloon, we suggest you release the Magus Perfectus’ potential. As an additional tip, ZOMGs and BADs are great for refilling your mana as they move really slowly allowing you to refill the Graveyard mana pool swiftly.
