Hi-Fi Rush was (kinda) stealth-released last night, and surprise surprise, some players are having problems getting it to run. This rhythm-action RPG developed by Tango Gameworks, who previously developed The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo is admittedly a fun time, but that endorsement means nothing if you can’t play the game. So, let’s take a look at Hi-Fi Rush’s crashes on PC Game Pass. Can you prevent them?

How to Fix Hi-Fi Rush Not Working, Crashes, and Other Errors

As mentioned, it’d seem that most issues at present are with the version on Game Pass for PC. But, it’s inconsistent — some have no problems, while others can’t make it past the splash screens. Some players have theorized that the crashing is more likely to occur if you have an AMD RX 500 graphics card, and if so, the problem could be related to the Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX). If this ends up being the case, there’s nothing you can do to fix it aside from waiting for a patch from Tango Gameworks.

What’s so strange about this is that the problems only seem to affect versions on Game Pass for PC. It doesn’t seem like anyone on Steam is complaining about these crashes. This is very inconvenient, especially for those who don’t have $30 to drop for this rhythm-based beat-em-up. At present, it seems like the best course of action is to be patient and wait for a fix from Tango and/or Bethesda.
