How to Get the Firework Launcher in GTA Online

The Firework Launcher is a spin-off of the regular Rocket Launcher in GTA Online. Obviously, instead of rockets, it launches loud and colorful fireworks, bursting gloriously in the night sky! It’s not really meant to be used as a weapon, but you can still launch the fireworks at NPCs and other players if you feel so inclined. Since the fireworks are weaker than rockets, they won’t kill someone if you shoot one at them! Probably!

The Firework Launcher has no particular prerequisites, nor does it cost anything to obtain. Rather, it’s a special item that’s automatically deposited in the inventories of any players that log into GTA Online during particular events. If such an event is running, it’ll be right there, ready and waiting for you to use.

Which Events Give the Firework Launcher?

There are two seasonal events in GTA Online that gift every player with a Firework Launcher: the Festive Surprise and the Independence Day Special. The Festive Surprise is a Christmas and Winter Holiday-themed event that usually runs around the tail-end of December, while the Independence Day Special runs on or around the real-life Independence Day, July 4th. All you need to do is log into the game while one of these events is running, and you’ll get the Firework Launcher automatically.

If you don’t use all of the shots on your Firework Launcher before the event you got it from ends, it’ll remain in your inventory indefinitely. Once you use up all the shots, though, it’ll disappear from your inventory, and you’ll need to wait until the next holiday event to get another. If you’re hoping to use the Firework Launcher for something besides festive shenanigans, make sure to conserve its ammo!
