How to Get the Team Star Sporty Cap in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Many shops in these games sell hats, but there’s only one hat that cannot be bought in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and that’s the Team Star Sporty Cap. The Team Star Sporty Cap is an exclusive cosmetic item that can only be found in one place in the entire game; keep reading to see where you can get this cosmic baseball cap in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

How to Get the Team Star Sporty Cap in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Unfortunately, the Team Star Sporty Cap cannot be bought. This cap can only be found in a secret Team Star camp that is located on a mysterious, unmarked portion of the map.

This secret Team Star camp is made up of a handful of Team Star outcasts who are no longer affiliated with the big Team Star leaders; they won’t put up a fight if you come near them, and will even give you a special item (The Team Star Sporty Cap) if you talk to their leader.

Thankfully, the leader won’t be hard to find once you get to the camp. He’ll be standing in the middle of all of the Team Star outcasts (of which there is only a handful) and will be willing to strike up a conversation with no prior prompting.

Where to Find the Secret Team Star Camp

To find this secret camp, you’ll need to travel to the middle point between the Tagtree Thicket and North Province (Area One). Once you’ve reached the middle of the two points, head North until you see a large white tent with Team Star members standing around it. If you’re having trouble pinpointing the camp’s exact location, use the map below to help you find it:

Once you’ve reached the camp, walk up to the camp’s leader (he should be standing directly in front of the tent’s doors) and talk to him. After he explains to you what the camp is and why it’s not affiliated with any of the official Team Star bases, he will give you the Sporty Cap (Star) item. You’ll be able to equip this cosmetic item as soon as it’s given to you.

Although the secret Team Star camp won’t ever show up on the map, you’ll still be able to go back and visit it whenever you want to (you’ll only ever get the one hat from it, though)!
