Can Ditto Make an Egg with Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Ceruledge is one of the most popular Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, so it makes sense that so many people are trying to get more of them through breeding. Keep reading to find out if you can get an Egg from a Ditto and a Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

Can Ditto Make an Egg with Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Since Ditto can breed with nearly any Pokémon in the game (except for Pokémon in the “No Eggs Discovered” Egg Group), it is possible for Ditto to make an Egg with Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Regardless of the gender of your Ceruledge, if you pair it with a Ditto, it should produce an Egg. Any Egg that originates from a Ceruledge and a Ditto will hatch into a Charcadet, so if you’re trying to get more Ceruledges, you’ll still have to evolve it in the same way that you evolved its parent (with the Malicious Armor)

Additionally, if you’re trying to get more Dittos, you won’t be able to obtain them through this method. The only way to obtain more Dittos is by catching them or by trading for them; it’s impossible to obtain Dittos through breeding, even in Gen 9 (and no, you can’t breed two Dittos with each other).

How to Breed Ceruledge and Ditto in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The breeding process is a bit different in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet than in previous Pokémon games, but it’s still a fairly simple process. To get an Egg from a Ceruledge and a Ditto, you’ll first need to make sure that the only Pokémon you have on your team are Ditto and Ceruledge. Then, you’ll need to set up a Picnic with both Pokémon. Once the Picnic has been set up, all you need to do is wait.

While you’re waiting for your Pokémon to breed, you can make sandwiches, give them a bath, or redecorate to pass the time. Check the Basket at the end of your Picnic Table every few minutes to see if they’ve made an Egg; if the breeding process is successful, you should find a Pokémon Egg sitting inside the Basket. Once you’ve got the Egg, all you need to do to hatch it is run around a whole bunch (riding on Koraidon and Miradion count)!
