I would be a millionaire if I had a penny for every glitch in a major video game release for the past 5 years. It is natural at this point to expect some minor issues (and sometimes major ones) when a game this big is released, specially in a franchise as massive as Call of Duty. Being able to see lights through walls may be a superpower, but in Modern Warfare 2, it is a very annoying glitch, that apparently was present in Modern Warfare as well. Video games struggle to find ways to maintain the players immersed, but this just breaks all the rules. Here is how to fix the “lights trough walls” glitch in Modern Warfare 2.

How To Fix Lights Through Walls Glitch
Like any glitch in the history of glitches, one can only wait for the developers to drop for an update and try to see if the glitch is fixed. However, sometimes these things take too long, so in order to try to help you resolve this immersion-breaking glitch, here are a couple of things that you can do to fix the lights through-walls glitch. You will find that some of them are a little extreme, so be wary and try to weigh your alternatives to see if it is worth doing.
- Reset the game, go to campaign, mission select and click on restart mission instead of resume. This has proven to work on its own and with conjunction of other measures.
- Disable “on-demand texture streaming” and perform the restart mentioned above.
- Restart the shaders cache in graphics settings and perform the restart mentioned on the first bullet point.
- Uninstall the game completely and reinstall it from scratch.
