Can you Check K/D Ratio in Modern Warfare 2? Answered

How will you know if you are carrying your team?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is here and so is its well-beloved multiplayer modes. Bringing back the great Search and Destroy, Domination and the classic Team Deathmatch. Players are ready to grind for the new gun skins and carry their randoms in-game. What has always been a huge part of the Call of Duty multiplayer is the Combat Record. Where you are able to view your K/D and average in-game statistics alongside viewing your friends and other players statistics. It is a vital part of Call of Duty. As it tells the player where they can improve and what to specifically work on when playing the Multiplayer.

Where to see your K/D Stats

Interestingly, Modern Warfare 2 does not have a Combat Record at the moment. It is unsure whether or not this will be added in at a later date. With the game’s release of October 28th, 2022. Players who pre-ordered the game had the ability to play the Campaign early. You would think that Call of Duty would have decided already if they were going to feature the Combat Record.

As of now the only way to view your K/D is per game. This can only be seen on the scoreboard at the end of the match. Here you can see your Kills and Deaths, Ratio and Lifestreak. Alongside the statistics of the other players in your team. The in-game discussion or trash-talking that you might usually have with your random teammates or friends is now gone. As you are unable to see who is under-performing and who is carrying in the match. For some this may be a positive overall change. But for the majority who want to see their overall stats, during a match, and after. Unable to see their average K/D ratio in the Combat Record is a negative change.

All we know right now

The Combat Record is a feature that has been a part of Call of Duty history. Ever since the beginning of Call of Duty Multiplayer. We hope that this will be a feature later added in the game. As Modern Warfare 2, like most newly released games is currently experiences a lot of bugs and crashing issues. We can expect Infinity Ward to keep the players updated on these current problems. Whether or not the Combat Record will return is up to them.
