Looking for a Cyberpunk 2077 map of Night City? While the game is not officially out yet, die-hard fans have been hard at work piecing together information about various locations and districts within Night City.
There are a total of six districts within Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City. You can see an overview of each district and a metro map with all of the routes. The underground transit system allows players to get around quickly. Vehicles like cars and bikes are also available for quick travel.
Each district within Night City includes specific communities, where you can find various Cyberpunk 2077 gangs and megacorporations, all with unique environments. Here’s a breakdown of the Cyberpunk 2077 map of Night City, including a city overview, overview of each district, and the metro system.
Cyberpunk 2077 Map Overview
The districts in Cyberpunk 2077 Night City are:

City Center is the highest-trafficked area, where megacorporations own a majority of the property. There are also numerous entertainment venues and shops. Depending on which class you pick, your starting location will vary.
Watson
Watson once has everything you could ever want: nightclubs, skyscrapers, corporations, a top of the line hospital, and the most prominent black market in Night City. It all changed after the Unification War and is now one of Night City’s poorest districts. You can find Maelstrom in the Northside Industrial District, while the Tyger Claws operate out of Little China and Kabuki.
Little China was once an extension of Downtown, but is now just a densely populated urban area. Kabuki is next to Little China, with a night bazaar for black market items like organs and steroids. Rumor has it you can find anything you’re looking for at the Kabuki Market. Aside from that, the rest of Watson is the Arasaka Waterfront and for employees only.
Westbrook
Many residents of Night City consider Westbrook to be the best place to live. The areas richest and most powerful people own apartments here. North Oak is home to the untouchable elites, like bankers, directors, and corporate execs. You won’t find any gangs in the beautiful North Oak, but Chapter Hill is another story.
Next to North Oak is Chapter Hill, an area meant to house as many people as possible. Those successful people who are not fortunate enough to live in North Oak will need to travel around this area with bodyguards and armored vehicles. Here you can find plenty of street food vendors, hotels, and gaming parlors.
City Center
City Center is the pulse of Night City and was a battlefield only a few decades ago during the 4th Corporate War. The restoration took forty years, and it is now the most secure part of the city. Megacorporations owned by Arasaka, Militech, Biotechnica, Petrochem, and Kang Tao dominate City Center, with the Corpo Plaza in the middle of it all.
In downtown, next to Corpo Plaza, you can find the best night clubs, luxury hotels, restaurants, and apartments. The waterfront is home to art galleries and elites. Not all is perfect in City Center, though. You can find plenty of dive bars and shady alleys with drug dealers if you make a wrong turn.
Heywood
Heywood is populated with skyscrapers and parks, though the more south you get, the more slums you can find. Valentinos and 6th Street gangs roam the streets, so don’t go looking for trouble here. Heywood is known as “the biggest bedroom in Night City” because most people live there. The wealthier parts are mostly owned by corporations.
Santo Domingo
One of the oldest districts in Night City, Santo Domingo managed to stay out of the 4th Corporate War due to its location. Residents seeking shelter fled here and built camps during the war. It’s now the testing ground for industrial projects. Santo Domingo is on the eastern side of Night City next to Heywood.
Pacifica
Once destined to be the money maker for Night City, featuring popular tourist destinations and luxury resorts for the elite, Pacifica never lived up to its potential. After the economy took a turn for the worse, funding to Pacifica halted, and so did all the plans to turn it into a hub.
There’s no shortage of unfinished buildings, poverty, drugs, and violence. It’s a perfect place for a gang, and that’s what Voodoo Boys realized before they made it their headquarters.
Badlands
Outside of Night City is the Badlands, an area populated by Nomads and Wraith gang members. The area consists of the Northern Oilfields, Eastern Wastelands, and Southern Desert. To the east, the wastelands are full of chemicals and landfills, while the oilfields are prominent in the northern area. The desert is a lot less chaotic than the Badlands’ other areas, but don’t let that fool you. If you’re venturing out into this territory, make sure you’re armed.
Cyberpunk 2077 Metro Map
Here’s a look at Cyberpunk 2077’s metro system, an underground rail system designed to get around the city easily. A Reddit user posted this overview from the official gameplay trailer. While the image is not entirely clear, it provides us the most detailed look at the metro system yet.
Cyberpunk 2077 Map FAQ
Night City is more densely populated than The Witcher 3, with verticality also playing a significant part of the size. It is tough to compare it to other games due to the verticality, but Night City itself has six districts. There are buildings in each area with dozens of levels to explore, making it much larger than it appears on a map overview.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG, where players can explore any part of the city they desire. It is similar to CD Projekt Red’s other famous title, The Witcher 3, where you can roam anywhere on the map.
