What is Leatherworking?

There are 11 primary professions you can learn in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. These are trade-oriented sets of skills you can learn to enhance your weapons, armor, or production. Players can only have two professions at one time. Although you can “unlearn” a profession at the cost of losing all prior knowledge, this change is permanent, and you will have to start from scratch.

If your main focus is all sorts of armor, Leatherworking is a great profession to utilize. This profession is best paired with Skinning, allowing you to craft items like cloaks and armor kits.

How to Level up Leatherworking in World of Warcraft Dragonflight

Before you begin the path of Leatherworking, you will first need to collect various materials. These materials are as follows:

  • 280 Resilient Leather
  • 210 Adamant Scales
  • 20 Dense Hide
  • 16 Lustrous Hide

To make these items, you will need the Skinning profession and purchase a skinning knife. You can also buy these items at the auction house; hunting down monsters is best. Once you have acquired your materials, you can then begin your training.

The first 60 Levels in Dragonflight Leatherworking will be the easiest. This is because you’ve already stocked up on all your materials, and all you need to do is hit the “Train” button. You will start your journey by making the Pioneer’s Leather Wristguards and Trailblazers Scale Bracers.

Remember, you will gain a +1 crafting bonus each time you create an item. The more “Knowledge Points” you gain, the more recipes you will unlock; you will get these points the first time you craft an item. You can use these Knowledge Points to learn Leatherworking Specializations; this is how you can reach Level 100 in Leatherworking.
