World of Warcraft will have you seated at your desk exploring its expansive open world, and with the latest expansion, Dragonflight, you might find a few quests challenging. One of these is the Spark of Ingenuity in World of Warcraft. This one is a bit tricky, as the item will only drop every two weeks, but follow this guide if you want to know how to obtain this item.
What is the Spark of Ingenuity?
The Spark of Ingenuity in World of Warcraft Dragonflight is a crafting reagent obtained from the Engine of Innovation. This item can be used to craft various Dragon Isles recipes; however, to use this item, you will need Bottled Essence to fuel the Engine of Innovation. You can get this item by completing the Five Challenges of Tyr: Finesse, Might, Persistence Embodied, Resourcefulness, and Ingenuity.
How to get the Spark of Ingenuity in World of Warcraft Dragonflight
As mentioned above, to get the Spark of Ingenuity, you first need to obtain Bottled Essence. To do this, make your way to Valdrakken, The Emerald Enclave. As you walk up the steps, interact with Greyzik Cobblerfinger to begin the Dragonscale Expedition. When you complete his quest “Jump-Start? Jump Starting!”, you will receive the Bottled Essence as a reward.

You will then need to make your way near The Bronze Enclave, where you will begin this quest. This is where you will meet with the Maiden of Inspiration; within her quest notes, click on the “Fueling the Engine” task.
Fueling the Engine will now be added to your quest, and a small block will allow you to create the Spark of Ingenuity at the bottom of your screen; click on it to create the first spark. You will have to complete various other quests to fully obtain the Spark of Ingenuity in World of Warcraft. Unfortunately, the quests will only be available every two weeks.
