Will Sons of the Forest Have Crossplay? Answered

A Break From Tradition?

In 2014, Endnight Games’ The Forest entered an admittedly lengthy early access phase. It would remain in this state for the next four years as the game crept towards being finished. Will Sons of the Forest Have Crossplay?

Odds aren’t good, if for no other reason than, as of writing, Sons of the Forest will exclusively be available on PC. It’s entering early access starting February 23, 2023, so for the foreseeable future, this sequel will be platform-locked. It’s possible that Sons of the Forest will enable crossplay or cross-progression when it leaves early access, but if it’s anything like its older sibling, that might not be until 2027.
