MLB The Show 23 had a tech test announced for the game. The purpose of the test was, of course, to test out various features and stability. Because this is less of a demo than a need to assess the systems, there’s a lot more leeway given in it than in the initial game. But despite this, or maybe because of it, people wonder if they’re progress will carry over into the full game, or if their progress will be lose in the void.
Will Progress Carry Over in MLB The Show 23’s Tech Test
One of the biggest things in the tech test is unlimited free diamond cards. These tend to be among the best cards in the game and they are used in Diamond Dynasty. Diamond Dynasty is a mode akin to Ultimate Team from the Madden franchise. Players buy, sell, and acquire cards to build their roster and take online. Ultimate Team is one of the most popular modes in all of sports and Diamond Dynasty has quickly gained steam. It’s easy to see why people would want their cards to carry over to the full game.
They’re out of luck though as the progress does not carry over from the tech test. If it did, it would ruin the economy of Diamond Dynasty. Several players would essentially be gifted the best cards in the game for free and as many as they want. It’d create such a gap between non-tech test players and the ones that got in that people may never be able to close.
