World of Warcraft is ever expanding, and also ever removing old and legacy content from its game. Such is the issue now with the current ninth expansion, Dragonflight, that, while preparing for the update, made some changes and patches for some of its functionality and levelling systems and modes. One of the issues that are now causing a little bit of trouble for players is the inability of some to start Threads of Fate, even if they meet all requirements in order to do so. Why can’t I use Threads of Fate in Dragonflight? Let’s answer this now.
Why Can’t I Use Threads of Fate?
While several players are still able to use Threads of Fate as a levelling option for their characters and no fix is necessary for them, there are some players reporting that they are unable to start Threads of Fate in Dragonflight. And while someone could speculate this is in fact a bug or glitch, it is not. It is permanent change that has been implemented in World of Warcraft on November 15. According to official Blizzard Support, any character that chose Threads of Fate prior to November 15 will be able to finish it. On the contrary, whoever did not choose this option will not be able to select it moving forward. Moreover, if you chose Threads of Fate, do not chose Chromie Time’s Shadowlands – Realms of Death, since you will lose access to World Quests until Level 60 while retaining most of the features of Threads of Fate.

So this is pretty much the state of things right now. If you have the ability to use and start Threads of Fate in Dragonflight, then you’re in luck. If, on the other hand, you cannot, then proceed to Realms of Death in order to continue levelling.
