In short, Mining Process offers you improvement in mining efficiency through proper mining techniques, Metallurgy helps you understand different minerals you find and refine them in higher quality, and Mastering the Elements allows for increased Rousing and Awakened Essence gains and boosted speed with which you gather materials.
When just starting out with mining in Dragonflight we advise going for Mining Process first. Maxing out its sub-specialization with 35 points will give you the ability to master the process of mining in such a way that you can mine while mounted. It also provides +50 Deftness while mining deposits.
While getting this last sub-specialization, you will acquire also those ones that improve Perception and Finesse which in general helps you get more items of rarer quality.
