Where to find the Forgotten Gryphon

While there are no items for the Forgotten Gryphon, you will gain an achievement. For anyone who is an achievement hunter, you’ll want to add this one to your list. The achievement is titled Adventurer Of The Waking Shores. That also gives you a clue where to find the Forgotten Gryphon as well.

Indeed the Forgotten Gryphon is located in Waking Shores. Its exact location might vary a bit but you’ll find it usually on a higher hilltop. You can of course use your dragon to fly close to its location. You may even possibly spot it from the sky before you land.

Being a rare elite creature it has a very beefy health bar. The Gryphon has over 2 million HP and is level 64. Upon defeating the Gryphon you will gain somewhere north of 8,000 XP. If you rather, however, this creature is Tameable if you have Feathermane Hunter Pet taming ability.

That’s all there really is to know about the Forgotten Gryphon and where to find it in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. It may take you several minutes to take the beast out and taming isn’t always guaranteed. It too can be difficult to tame such a rare and powerful creature. You’ll just have to have the skill and patience for this level 64 beast and if you’re playing Dragonflight you’re most likely not new to WoW even a little bit.
