There’s nothing more riveting than an old school whodunnit. That’s why dinner theater is so popular, people like the opportunity to solve a big interactive mystery, and maybe also eat some decent food at the same time. Of course, if the food is poisoned, you may have a slightly more urgent need to determine whodunnit than usual. Here’s how to find The Vault in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
During the Jorvik story arc, you’ll pick up a quest entitled “Closing the Vault.” By this point in the story, you’ve already uncovered two members of the Order of the Ancients, but this time, you’ll need to discover the true identity of the one known as “The Vault.” If you were wondering, they are called The Vault because it’s their assumedly vast wealth that funds the Order of the Ancients’ operations. Over the course of the quest, you’ll get a chance to visit the Archives for clues and speak to the four suspects to get a read on them. The four suspects are:
- Ricsige
- Faravid
- Audun
- Hjorr
Who is The Vault in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
When the festival begins, you’ll be given a chance to make an accusation and provide a reasoning. Now let’s cogitate on this: Who was the one who insisted that the festival even be held in the first place? And, follow-up, who was the one who insisted that the festival wine only be drank by the guests of honor? Why, I do believe in both cases, it’d be Audun.
Yep, Audun’s The Vault. After you make your selection, he’ll give a little festival speech, the lords will drink the wine and be poisoned, and then he’ll yuck it up on stage for a bit. As soon as he’s done, you can run right up and stick something pointy in his soft bits. The Order of the Ancients will need to start a Kickstarter if they want money now.
Unfortunately, no matter who you accuse, the lords will still be poisoned and Audun will still out himself, which is kind of lame, but hey, it feels good to just get the answer right at least.
