Where to Find the Rabbit Doll in Amnesia: The Bunker

A fond memory

In the midst of all this chaos, take a moment to collect an item of value deep in the heart of the Bunker. For most, family means everything. It can be the thing that keeps you going through hard times. It can stop you from losing your mind. It is the having something to believe in; be it God or the hope of seeing your family again as you go out to war. For Lambert, the thought of never seeing his daughter again could kill him. It drove him insane that once he lost that dear Rabbit Doll meant for his daughter, there was no hope left. Turns out that the Rabbit Doll can be found inside the Bunker. You just have to find it. This is Vincent’s guide on where to find the Rabbit Doll in Amnesia: The Bunker.

Rabbit Toy Location in Amnesia: The Bunker

Almost everything in Amnesia: The Bunker is placed for survival purposes. You can find weaponry, tools and resources to get ahead of the Beast or survive the encounter. But there is a unique item in the game that is there to pull at your heartstrings whilst confirming the identity of the Beast itself. You, like me, may have initially though that the Beast may be something psychological, or something otherworldly accidently released from the Roman Tunnels as the French dug towards enemy lines. However, the truth is that the Beast is something much more depressing and sinister. Whether you are trying to unlock all Achievements for The Bunker or you have connected the lore of the game to the journals you find in your exploration, you may be looking for the mysterious Rabbit Doll.

In order to find the Rabbit Doll you first need to unlock the Tunnels. To do so, you will need the Bolt Cutters to break the chain on the gate. In the flooded area, wade through the water, crouch underneath the fallen shelving unit and turn on the switch on the other side of the room. Go back and start the Generator beside the gate. The water will drain and you can now begin your exploration of the Roman Tunnels. The Beast cannot get you in here. The gameplay shifts towards stealth under darkness, where the fog distorts your vision, creating visions of the past soldiers that roamed these Tunnels and lost their minds. One remains however and that is Beaufoy. You need to either sneak past him or defeat him to get the Detonator.

Once you have arrived to the room with the Detonator in it (on top of a wooden box in the centre of the room), you should walk past it so that you are facing the wall. Whilst the way out is on your left-hand side, face the area behind the Detonator stand.

You will find a hole here being blocked by two concrete blocks and a wooden barrel. You need to move these out of the way to reveal a crawlspace. If Beaufoy is alive and nearby, refer to his footsteps for his location and listen out for the Shotgun cocking sound. When you hear it, hide behind the two barrels just behind you so that you are not shot. If you defeated Beaufoy you are fine to walk around freely as there are no other enemies here.

Head through the crawlspace where you will crawl out to the pit where Lambert fell down in the Intro of The Bunker. Follow the gleaming indicator on the right-hand side of the body of water. You will find both Lambert’s Dog Tags (can be used in the Mission Storage) and the Rabbit Doll. Pick both of these up.

What Can You Do With The Rabbit Doll?

Now that you have the Rabbit Doll, you will see that it can actually be equipped. We highly recommend that you head back to the Central Bunker and make a bit of noise to entice the Beast. Once he reveals himself, throw the Rabbit Doll towards him. You will see him react to the Doll, where he will interact with it and run away, Doll in hand. If you are curious about where the Beast took the Doll, you can find it again in the Chapel in Storage Hub (through Maintenance). The Rabbit Doll has been placed on the alter table, where the Beast likely prayed to be with his daughter again.

By obtaining the Rabbit Doll and then finding it again in the Chapel, you will unlock two Achievements for Amnesia: The Bunker.
