Where to Find the Lost Note in Demonologist – Location Guide

Learn of Maria's terrible past

Clock Wizard Games have changed their Ghost Hunting Game in a huge way with their v0.3.0 update. You may have grown used to, perhaps attached to getting the Ghost to blow out a Candle or finding that Time of Death on the walls but this will no longer be a set in stone Objective for players to hit. No, now the tables have turned where no matter what Map, what match you are heading into, you will no longer know what Objectives to expect to unlock the Exorcism in Demonologist. So be ready for anything as you enter into a match. This is our guide on where to locate the Lost Note in Demonologist.

The Purpose of Lost Notes in Demonologist

The Lost Note is just one of the new Optional Objectives for players to complete in order to unlock the Exorcism Objective. However, the default and original Objectives will repeat like usual, but instead of having to find just the Gun Parts in the Hospital, you may need to locate Dead Rats, Salt Bags or the Pentagram alongside the original task. What is great about this update is that whilst these randomized Objectives appear across all of the Maps in Demonologist, you are not required to use a specific Tool to complete them. Therefore, you should still head into Abandoned House with a Candle, Cyclone St with the Ecto Glass and the Hospital with your bravery.

These new Optional Objectives co-exist with the original task you needed to hit in the first version of Demonologist. But due to its randomized appearance, you will not know what you need to collect when you head into the game. The Lost Note gives context and a bit of backstory into the horrors Maria had suffered and perhaps a hint towards how to open her Room in Cyclone St. You are required to read the whole thing/ skip to the end to complete the Objective and move onto the next task or to attempt the Exorcism.

Where to Find the Lost Note

Unlike the other Optional Objectives in Demonologist, the Lost Note appears to be exclusive to Cyclone St. Not only this but, you are only required to locate the one Note and this will always be the same unless Clock Wizard Games makes another update to alter its text. Of course, in true Demonologist fashion at this point, the Note’s spawns are randomized. However we believe that there are only a total of 6 spawn spots where the Lost Note will appear. You will highly likely find the Lost Note atop furniture. Whilst it can spawn on the floor, you will want to check areas that have memorable surfaces for the Note to stand-out on. Examples of this are on Toilets, Kitchen Counters or TV Stands.

The spawn points of the Lost Note in Cyclone St are:

  • Bathroom Toilet
  • Upstairs Bedroom TV Stand
  • Upstairs Files Room (floor)
  • Kitchen Counter
  • Derelict Bedroom (on floor beside Chair)
  • Derelict Living Room (floor)

When searching for the Note on the floor, you will want to check areas in which the Note would be the central and focus piece in the room. Examples of this would be in the centre of the Files Room or Derelict Living Room in Cyclone St. The Note will not be incredibly well hidden unlike other objects like the Gun Parts in the Hospital. You should use the list above as a guidance on where to look first for the Lost Note. If it does not appear in any of these spawn spots listed above, be sure to check other Side Rooms in Cyclone St.

Thank you for reading this guide, we hope that it was helpful to those just finding this new Objective to complete in Demonologist. For more guides on this game, be sure to check out our related Demonologist articles on Gamer Journalist.
