Where to Find Researcher’s Notes in Vondel Zoo Veterinary Office in Warzone 2.0 DMZ – Researcher’s Dilemma Mission Guide

A Mission with a lot of back-and-forths

With a brand new map to play on comes the arrival of many new Missions to complete. Life inside Vondel is one that many of us can probably relate to. With everything you could possibly expect from a large, vibrant city, Vondel offers peace of mind in their Zoo, an entire history in the Museum or a shopping spree in their Mall. As MacMillan said: “fifty-thousand people used to live in this city, now it’s a ghost town.” The same can be said for the civilization of Vondel, with what was once likely a highly popular attraction point for tourists and a getaway for families and students, now lay to ruin where bullets and missiles drop from above. But the Missions remain the same: find key items, extract or place in another area to complete the task. This is Vincent’s guide on how to complete the Tier 3 Black Mous Mission, Researcher’s Dilemma in Warzone 2.0 DMZ.

Researcher’s Notes Location Guide

Researcher’s Dilemma Mission is all about placing key information into the wrong hands. The goal is to locate the Researcher’s Note and switch them with False Notes. Therefore, there are a total of two locations on the Vondel map that you must visit in order to complete this Mission. Firstly, you need to find the Researcher’s Notes inside the Zoo’s Veterinary Office. You should enter the Zoo via the south side of the map, where it may in fact be easiest to enter the location via the river, climbing onto land via ladders. However, using a vehicle is just as accessible but keep in mind that the Threat Level here is on Medium. So it is best that you enter the area via the river side and then go straight to the building highlighted in the screenshot below (white circle).

You can just jump the wall on the south side of the Zoo and enter the double doors into the Office Building. Turn right and unlock the Animal Care Room. Keep in mind that you will need to have the Animal Care Room Key to unlock the Office for the Researcher’s Notes. You should have already obtained this Key by completing a prior Black Mous Mission but if you do not have the Key, you will need to find it in your standard Key searching ways, looking through lootable Containers such as Toolboxes or Briefcases. Once inside the Office, you need to go to the counter located behind the animal operation table. Here you will find the Notes that you require.

False Notes Location Guide

Now that you have the Researcher’s Notes, you need to head north west, to the perimeter of Vondel. Here you will enter the Castle landmark where you must head inside the Chapel located just south of the Castle. Again, it is best to enter the zone through the south side and from the water itself rather than getting a load of attention by the enemy AI in the area. You should actually head straight for the Buy Station in the area as this is the correct location you need to be at. Behind the Buy Station there is a ladder that takes you to the second floor of the Chapel. Face the Lantern on the floor in the room and press the interact key to place the Researcher’s Notes down. Next to the newly placed Notes, you can pick up the False Notes.

Now that you have the False Notes in hand, you need to head back to the first location inside the Veterinary Office in the Zoo and plant these Notes in the room behind the Animal Care Room that you unlocked. This looks like the Operating Room where the False Notes can be placed on the floor directly in front of the door.
