Every Pokemon only has a set number of times they can use one of their four moves before needing to rest at a Pokemon Center or recover with an Ether. It can be a major setback to run out of move PP at an inopportune time, but the best way to remedy that is to just give your Pokemon more PP! Here’s where to find PP Ups in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Find PP Ups in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

PP Ups are medicinal items in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, in the same vein as items like Protein and Carbos. When you feed one to one of your Pokemon, you can raise the maximum PP of one of the moves they currently have learned. That’s quite a powerful benefit, so naturally, they’re not going to let you have these things for free.

There are four ways you can get your hands on PP Ups, though most of them are reserved for the late or post-game:

• Porto Marinada Auctions
• Chansey Supply
• Academy Ace Tournament
• Tera Raid Rewards

Porto Marinada Auctions

PP Ups are one of the items that can go up for sale at the Porto Marinada auctions, available after you clear the Cascarrafa Gym Test. They’re included in a large pool of items, so the odds of them appearing are rather low. If they do go up for sale, though, you may be able to score as many as 15 at once, provided you can beat some very aggressive bidders. Don’t be surprised if you have to bid over 100,000.

Chansey Supply

The most reliable means of getting PP Ups is buying them from Chansey Supply, a chain of pharmacies located in Mesagoza, Levincia, Cascarrafa, and Montenevera. They cost 10,000 a pop, but they’re always available. However, Chansey Supply won’t start stocking PP Ups until you’ve beaten the final boss of the main campaign and entered the post-game.

Academy Ace Tournament

After you’ve entered the post-game, you’ll get the opportunity to participate in the Academy Ace Tournament against the Academy’s teachers and students. You can participate in this tournament multiple times, and every time you clear it, you’ll get a random reward, which can be a PP Up if you’re lucky.

Tera Raid Rewards

PP Ups are one of the potential rewards you can receive upon clearing a 6-star Tera Raid Battle, the ones with the black crystals. Do note that these kinds of Tera Raids will only start appearing in the wild after you’ve cleared the Academy Ace Tournament at least once.

Remember, PP Ups are best used on either powerful moves with very few uses or more common moves that you use a lot. Proper allocation goes a long way!
