Where to Find Cait Powder in Octopath Traveler 2

Cats enjoy playing and disappearing from time to time. Even if you don’t allow them to go outside, like me, you can be surprised with the amount of places these creatures can use as a hiding or most likely, sleeping spots. But what do cats enjoy most? Catnip. They are crazy about it, and they get really happy, if you know what I mean. So, I wonder what we will need to gather a giant’s cat attention? Hmm. Here is where to find Cait Powder in Octopath Traveler 2.

Where to Find Cait Powder in Octopath Traveler 2

Having Cait Powder is not only an achievement due to its rarity, it is also the way we will encounter an old opponent of ours from the last game. You guess who it is? Well, take a second to think. Yes, it is Cait, a giant cat. And, in order to get to Cait, we will have to attract its attention with something. And of course, we will have to use some powder that will make him drool and come to our presence. Think about it as a catnip for giant felines. Anyway, they are a couple of ways you can collect some Cait Powder, but the fastest way is located in Tropu’hopu, located in Toto’haha. These names are awesome.

Once you fast travel to Tropu’hopu head north to the pier, and you will find a Cat Connoisseur that is just in front of a wooden cabin. If you think we are looking for him to negotiate any Cait Powder price or that he will willingly give it to us, you are mistaken. Choose a character like Throné and ambush him. There is no greater way to collect something than beating your way to it. Anyway, beat up the poor man and enter his wooden cabin. You will find a chest inside that is holding the Cait Powder. And that’s pretty much it! Next time you are attempting to find Cait, go ahead and make use of the Powder to get him to come, increasing your chances for encountering the creature. Killing it will give you a lot of experience points. As a cat owner, I cannot say in good conscience to do this, but if you do, please, make him enjoy the powder, one last time.
