Tears of the Kingdom features many of the old bosses and enemies that were seen in Breath of the Wild, including the Black Hinox. Black Hinox are a special type of Hinox that are especially fierce, and roam only certain parts of Hyrule. Keep reading to find out where you can find as many Black Hinox as your little heart desires in Tears of the Kingdom!

All Black Hinox Locations in Tears of the Kingdom

The Black Hinox is easily one of the most fearsome creatures in Tears of the Kingdom, which is likely why it drops such awesome loot when killed! Slaying these giant, one-eyed beasts won’t be easy, but the loot you’ll be rewarded with is more than worth the effort.

Believe it or not, tracking Black Hinox down is actually one of the toughest parts of battling them. These beasts don’t like making it easy to find them, but you’re sure to run into some if you explore any of these areas:

  • Tabahl Woods
  • Rabella Wetlands
  • East Gut Check Rock
  • Lake Totori South
  • Tempest Gulch
  • Giant’s Forest
  • Hebra West Summit

These are all of the Black Hinox locations in Tears of the Kingdom. Currently, there are approximately 7 known Black Hinox locations in the game, so you probably won’t see more than one at a time in each location (thankfully).

If you need a visual representation of the general areas that you’ll need to explore to find these creatures, then just refer to the map below:

If you don’t feel like hunting down each location specifically and would just prefer to stumble across one on your own, then just try to make sure you’re exploring the Eastern and South-Eastern portions of the map in particular.
