Where to find a Golden Chicken Egg in Resident Evil 4 Remake – Egg Hunt Request Guide

Got to crack a few eggs.

It wouldn’t be a Resident Evil game without random secret collectibles to find. Resident Evil 4 Remake is no different in that matter, and much like Link in Legend of Zelda, Leon is going to have to harass some chickens. What is it about main characters with names that start with L and poultry? The Golden Egg is a collectible that Leon needs to find in order to complete the Merchant Request “Egg Hunt.” You can actually find the Golden Egg in two locations.

Golden Egg Location #2

In order to find the Golden Chicken Egg, you’re going to need access to the boat. Once you’re on the lake, you will find the location opposite Lakeside Settlement. There will be a small worn dock with a barrel on it. Feel free to go ahead and break the barrel for a possible collectible such as ammo.

The area is actually pretty small with just a few crates and cages and a bunch of chickens running around. You’ll notice some brown eggs on the ground as well, but to find the Golden Egg on the right side behind a stack of cages and a bush. Go ahead and pick up the egg, but be careful to not accidentally use the egg. Otherwise, you’ll have to find the second Golden Egg.

Golden Egg Location #2

Okay, well, if you didn’t follow our instructions and accidentally used the egg. Then not all hope is lost. You can still find another Golden Egg, but it will take you a bit longer to progress in the game before you come across it. You won’t come across this one until Chapter 12, sadly. The Golden Egg is located inside the Throne Room’s locked cabinet.

In order to access it, you’ll need the Cubic Device. We advise you not use this egg as there’s not a third in the game, meaning you’ll be out of luck on completing Egg Hunt. For more adventures of Leon, check out Should I Get the Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS5 or Xbox Series X? Answered.
