Leon was introduced as a police officer in Resident Evil 2 (talk about the worst first day on the job) and then became a DSO (Division of Security) agent later on in Resident Evil. His backstory and life have always fascinated us fans. Whether it was his adventures in Raccoon City or the many other incidents that occurred during his lifetime afterward, Leon has always seemed mature and level-headed. But how old is he exactly? Here’s where Leon is in his life in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Leon’s Age in Resident Evil 4 Remake
During his time at the police academy, he was about 21 years old and dealt with childhood trauma after his family was killed. Resident Evil 2 and the Raccoon City incident picked up around this time in 1998 when Leon was 22. He has dealt with crime, zombies, T-Virus outbreaks, and more since then.
Resident Evil 4 picks up several years later when Leon was 28 years old. The game gives us a slightly older and wiser version of the former rookie cop. Leon now works for the S.R.T. team after he was recruited for his involvement in the Raccoon City incident. He has impeccable knowledge of the T-Virus so that meant he was the perfect candidate. In the game, Leon is tasked with saving the U.S. president’s kidnapped daughter, a remarkable upgrade for the former police officer.
Since Resident Evil 4 Remake is a remake of the 4th game, we’re not in 2023 (when the game is being released) but earlier in the Resident Evil timeline. The game takes place in 2004.
Ashley’s Age in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Ashley is the second main character in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. She is the daughter of the U.S. president. As the game progresses, we learn that she gets kidnapped by a cult and it’s up to Leon to save her, forming the central narrative of the game.
While Ashley is new to the world of bio-terrors, she is capable of taking care of herself at 20 years old, almost as old as Leon when he was first introduced to players.
