In Disney Dreamlight Valley, like with Animal Crossing before it, there’s no such thing as too much space. It helps to have as much room for storage as possible, in case you have a surplus of items from your travels throughout Dreamlight Valley. It’s for this reason that you should take on the Secret Door quest as soon as possible — if you do, it’ll result in an entire room that you can use for storage.
How to Complete the Secret Door Quest
In order to take on the Secret Door quest, you’ll first need to reach Friendship Level 10. You can then speak to Michael Mouse himself and he’ll bestow a special chest unto you. If you attempt to open this chest within your inventory, you’ll be shown a memory of … a Secret Door.
But, what is this Secret Door? And where is it?! If you ask the Mick-ster about it, he decides to choose violence and offers you a riddle instead of … y’know … helping?
“Turrets and towers you will behold. Within: a door for things new and old.”
I know; not exactly helpful, but that’s OK. If you’d like to know where this door is located specifically, it’s inside the Dream Castle. You’ll have to look around on the lowest level of the castle, on the right-hand side. If you thought this quest was over, the rodent returns to offer a second part of the riddle.
“It needs no key you’ve ever known. To open this door, find matching stones.”

Thanks, Mickey. You totally could’ve told us this before, but … whatever. In order to complete this second phase, you’ll need to collect a shortlist of gemstones: x1 Garnet, x1 Citrine, x1 Aquamarine, and x1 Tourmaline. As soon as you’ve nabbed these stones, return to the door. Input the stones into the door, and head inside. In this room, you’ll be reunited with our good friend Michaelsoft T. Mouseketeer, who’ll award you with the Enchanting Fountain, thus completing the Secret Door quest!
