When Does Team of the Year (TotY) Release in Madden 23?
Madden Ultimate Team is predicated on gathering the best players you can to build your ultimate team. But, once a year, Madden releases the best of the best in their Team of the Year. These are some of the more exceptional players with great stats to back them up. On top of the players, EA released a bevy of new items to collect. So, when can you get your hands on them?
When Does TotY Release in Madden 23
In Madden 22, the Team of the Year was loaded with players rated at a 96 overall. The lone exception this year being Deebo Samuel, who boasted a 97 overall as the official Player of the Year. Fans voted on who would make it in on offense, defense, and specialists. You could start collecting some of these players in late January as the release of the packs were staggered. They were only available for a limited time so you had to make sure you log-in when the unit you want is available.

Deebo Samuel could be acquired in the Training Reroll Packs, available throughout the event. All other packs released in three-day increments, starting with Specialists and ending with Defense. The release date began on 1/25 and finished up on 2/4. EA opened a ton of challenges for players to earn rewards and unlock these. It’s pretty exciting for MUT fans and one of the biggest events of the year.
Unfortunately, there is currently no release date for Madden 23’s Team of the Year. No voting has been announced either, which could mean EA going back to picking players themselves instead of community vote.
