In case you’ve been living under a rock, then you should know that the Guardian Games are underway. These are essentially the Olympics for Destiny, so it’s a pretty big deal.
Once you log on and speak to Zavala and Eva, you’re going to be given something called a medal case that pops up in your quests tab, but what exactly is it?
The Medal Case isn’t a Quest – it’s a Container
Despite being held in your quest menu, it’s not actually a quest. It’s more of a container like the Hammer of Proving. This time around, you’re using it to store the medals that you earn for completing Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible matches during the Guardian Games.
You can then turn these medals in at the podium in the Tower for some goodies and help your class win the games. You can earn four types of Medals, including Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
One important thing about your medal case that you should know is that you can only hold so many of each medal before you turn them in. Anything you earn after that limit is lost, so make sure you’re making trips to the Tower regularly.
You can see how many of each medal you have by hovering over your medal case in your quest menu.
If you want some help in efficiently farming, you can check our guide on earning Medals in the Guardian Games. In short, you’re going to want to run as many Contender Cards are possible to min-max.
