What is the level cap in Tactics Ogre: Reborn? Max Level explained

As high as you can go... or is it

Level Caps are sometimes just a necessary restriction in a video game. However, there are always caveats and strange additional choices to gameplay that can make you struggle with that cap as well. Tactics Ogre is a classic strategy RPG from the mid-90s that is experiencing a great resurgence. Having been remade and now put on ports for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Switch, Tactics Ogre Reborn can now be explored a whole new generation of gamers. This updated remake also comes with a few new aspects of gameplay and new content to experience. This includes a change in the Level gap that the classic game had. However, its a bit of a complicated addition that needs a bit of explanation. Here’s the max level cap explained in Tactics Ogre Reborn.

Max Level Cap Explained

The original Tactics Ogre had a level cap of 25. In Tactics Ogre: Reborn there’s a good bit more to do after you beat the game once and the level cap is now 50. However there’s even more beyond that, but that’s when things get complicated.

While your level cap is 50 and there is no changing that, as you progress through the post-game, some enemies and allies can be above level 50. Depending on the type of gamer you are, this idea is either a fun way to challenge your skills in the game with much stronger enemies. On the other hand, you might not find the gameplay as fair when dealing with combat with 3 or even 5 levels higher than yours.

You can also recruit allies at level 51. This may be an appeal to have some unique stronger allies to help you with the higher-level enemies once you encounter them. So while you may be unable to level up more while there are still more things to do and combat to experience, the level cap may offer an interesting challenge.
