Dark Urge in Baldur’s Gate 3 Explained

Dark Urge is the 7th origin character in the game, whose story is unknown (at least at the start) as he doesn’t remember anything from his past life. The released information from the starting storyline of this character hints that he is in close relations with Bhaal, the Lord of Murder.

The information available now also signals that playing with this character will tilt the game towards darker gameplay with more creepy and horror elements. Even though the gameplay allows for various choices to be made, this is something that is probably going to be the case no matter what choices you make with Dark Urge.

As we were able to see from the game’s Early Release showcase, the Dark Urge has some dark urges (pun intended) within him, and from the very start you’re faced with a choice of whether to give in to them or resist them. All in all, if you like characters with dark thoughts then definitely try out Dark Urge and do your playthrough with him.
