What is the Co-Op Limit in Sons of the Forest? Answered

Sons of the Co-Op Limit

Sons of the Forest is the terrifying sequel to The Forest, a brutal survival horror game that was released way back in 2014. Sons of the Forest is every bit as nauseatingly terrifying as its predecessor, if not even more so; this game isn’t for the faint of heart, but for those who love horror and have strong stomachs, Sons of the Forest is the perfect survival horror game to get into this year.

Horror games are always better with friends, and Sons of the Forest is no different. This game, like The Forest, has a great multiplayer feature (thank god), though many players are curious as to just how many of their friends they can terrorize at once with this game. Keep reading to find out what the co-op limit in Sons of the Forest is!

What is the Co-Op Limit in Sons of the Forest?

Unlike many survival horror games, Sons of the Forest allows a lot more than just a handful of people to play at a time. Rather than just the standard 2 or 3, Sons of the Forest lets you play with up to 8 players at once! With 7 other survivors on your side, there’s no way the cannibals can win!

This generous co-op limit came as a surprise to many people, but so much to those who were fans of the original game. The Forest had a similarly generous co-op limit, so it stands to reason that fans of the original game would have been disappointed at anything less.

Being able to play with 8 of your friends at once is definitely a huge advantage in a game like Sons of the Forest. This survival game can get downright brutal, and it only gets worse the longer you survive. You’ll need all the help you can get if you’re going to survive everything that this game throws at you!

What Platforms is Sons of the Forest Available On?

Unfortunately, Sons of the Forest is only available on one platform, which is PC. This may come as a major bummer to some, but you shouldn’t lose hope just yet. Sons of the Forest’s predecessor, The Forest, was also exclusively available on PC at the time of its launch, but it was later developed for PlayStation 4. There’s a chance that, if Sons of the Forest gains enough popularity, it could be released on other platforms as well in the future.

Sons of the Forest may not be available on many platforms, but it does still have a massive multiplayer feature going for it. As long as you’ve got a lot of friends (or just a big family) who all have access to computers, then you’ll be able to build an anti-cannibal army in Sons of the Forest in no time!

Sons of the Forest may be a repulsively horrifying game, but it’s still got nothing on the original. If you’re thinking of buying Sons of the Forest but haven’t yet played the original, then I highly recommend checking out The Forest before you do anything else.

Not only will the sequel make a lot more sense when you play it afterward, but it’ll also be that much more satisfying when you inevitably beat the game. Check out Gamer Journalist’s guides on The Forest if you want to know what you’re getting yourself into!
