Best Moveset for Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Bitter Blade

Bitter Blade is Ceruledge’s signature move, so it’s a must-have for any moveset. Bitter Blade is a wickedly powerful Fire-type move with a 100% accuracy rating, an attack power of 90, and a PP of 10. Not only is this attack powerful, but it also heals your Ceruledge after you use it! The user recovers 50% of the damage dealt to the other Pokémon; if you’re using this move on a Grass-type or Bug-type Pokémon, it’ll heal your Ceruledge more than any potion ever could! The best part about this move is that you don’t need to teach it to your Ceruledge via TM, it learns it on its own at level 48!

Will-O-Wisp

Will-O-Wisp is a classic Fire-type move that’s been helping players deal extra damage to their enemies since Gen 3. Will-O-Wisp afflicts the target with a burn that will deal extra damage each turn; it has an accuracy rating of 85% and a PP of 15. This move may not do a whole lot of damage on its own, but any move that affects status conditions is a good move to have, especially when it’s a status condition that damages health. This move is great for competitive battles and in-game battles alike, especially if you pair it with a move like Hex, which is an attack move whose power is doubled if the target is affected by status conditions.

Solar Blade

Solar Blade isn’t a move that anyone will expect your Ceruledge to have, mainly because it’s a Grass-type move. Solar Blade is a devastating Grass-type attack with a 100% accuracy rating, a PP of 10, and a whopping 120 attack power. If someone tries to take down your firey Ceruledge with a Water-type Pokémon, they’ll be in for the surprise of their life when their Pokémon gets one-shot KO’d by this insanely powerful Grass-type move! The only downside to Solar Blade is that it takes 2 turns to attack, but it’s still definitely worth teaching your Ceruledge; this move is essential for anyone who wants their Ceruledge to be invincible.

Phantom Force

Since Ceruledge is a Fire/Ghost-type Pokémon, it’d be criminal to not include at least one Ghost-type move in its moveset. Phantom Force is like the Ghost-type version of Dig or Fly, in the sense that it takes two turns to attack (and for the first turn, the user cannot be hit). This terrifying attack move has a 100% accuracy rating, a PP of 10, and an attack power of 90. Not only does this move make the user practically invincible on the first turn, but it also hits through defensive moves like Protect/Detect, so no Pokémon is safe from this hauntingly terrific attack!
